Tumba repair 2 (ctd.)
Next step is to hollow out the glue joints.
…en then fill out these hollows and the fixing holes with a mixture of plaster, wood-glue and water.
Making the colour matching and polishing should wait for the summer. We need warmth and sunshine…

Day 16, 17 & 18 : Cutting out these 2 necks is very tough. The African mahoganies texture changes frequently it’s direction. One of the necks is cut out with a miller.

Brandhout 1
Tijdje zoet geweest met het binnenhalen van de “oogst” brandhout.
Vele winterse zaterdagen in het bos hout gehakt. Bomen vellen, afmeten, verzagen, klieven en op hopen leggen.
Nu is het tijd om met de boskarren van hoop naar hoop te rijden en het hout op te laden. De karren zijn redelijk hoog geladen en er moet zeer voorzichtig mee gereden worden.
