SAS-02, body finish and assembling
Day 63: Removing the hardware to be able to finish the body: Sanding with grid 240 & 400 followed by 2 x pumice powder treatment, which is applied with alcohol and shellack. Ultimate finish counts 4 layers of Danish oil subsequently rubbed with 000 steel wool and drying periods during the following days.
Day 64: Making the pardas: starts with cutting the parda wire, roughly bending the pieces of parda wire by hammering, shaping the feet with a file and finally cutting a groove to hold the binding wire.
Day 65 & 66: Fitting the hardware on the body again. Mounting the main strings and setting the pardas. Finally mounting the cikari machine heads and pins and cikari strings.
